Manual change top jaws example JF Maprox
- Loosen screws, remove jaws
- Check the support of the other jaws for damage if necessary
- Important!! Lightly oil the body with the multifunctional oil 5-56 + PTFE, so that the jaws run without inhibition. This is to ensure the smooth running of the chucks
- Adjust the fit: Using a normal screwdriver, tighten the jaws a little more and then loosen them again approx. half a turn. This ensures a good fit of the base jaw and top jaw
- Tighten the jaws to 8 Ncm (Newton centimetres) with the torque screwdriver
- Eliminate backlash (tongue/groove): Depending on the type of jaw (internal or external clamping), use a suitable ring or shaft, preferably for a medium jaw level. Clamp well at least twice to eliminate the remaining play between the cheek piece and the base jaw (tongue and groove)
